I am currently using sand as a filler and 1 1/2 handles. I do swings, farmers walk, medicine ball exercises with a partner and in a martial arts class I was teaching we were using them indoors, chest passing them at each other and trying to punch, elbow and kick them to the ground. There was no damage to the floor, only a slight bit of sand because I had not folded the top properly. Right now I am impressed with the durability, the flexibility and the affordablity of this product.

Preface: The following clips are meant to show possible uses for the Pack Weight. They are not meant to teach or explain an exercise.

Roll back/ Push Press

Hold the Pack Weight out with both hands at chest height and then squat and roll back and then return to standing and press it to the sky.

Swing to shoulder

This is my simple way of getting from a swing to a squat. Switch hands/sides in between reps.

Truck Loader

Back breaking farm labor move here. Grab the Pack Weight off the ground and toss it on to the truck (or into the air if no farm is near).

Side Drag

Just like those torturous high school basketball drills accept this time you are dragging weight.

Long Swing to High Catch

This may look silly, but it will show you how hard it is to handle a moving flexible mass. I let the handle strap out long for this one.

Weighted Pushup

A prison yard classic. The shifty Pack Weight adds a new dimension to pushups.

Overhead squat

This one is much harder than it looks. It really works my shoulders. Hold the Pack Weight straight up and do regular squats.

Swing

The Swing is a cornerstone of kettlebell training. The Pack Weight in the clip has about 35 lbs of wet dirt out of my garden in it.

Around the Body

The Around the Body Pass was made popular by Jeff Martone's H2H: Kettlebell series. Enjoy. Looks easy until you pack on the weight.

Snatch

The famed "Snatch Test" separates the men from the boys. The Pack Weight does not feel identical to a kb during the snatch. It does allow you to take your snatch training with you though.

Squat

Now this won't impress you power lifters, but it will allow you to do squats wherever you are in the world. I received a phone call from a guy who put a Pack Weight over each end of a bar and proceeded to do regular squats. If you fill one with size 8 lead shot, it weighs about 150lbs. Throw 2 of those on a bar and you have some worthy weight. Take your PW with you and train on the go.

Alternating Pushup

If you are bored with pushups or convinced you can do a million of them, try this move. The PW is great for variations of many regular exercises. A martial arts instructor sent me this idea.

2-Hand Press

The Pack Weight is incredible easy to grab from any angle, so moves like this one feel natural.

Crunch

Again, just doing a variation to a normal move. Be creative. As you can see, the Pack Weight is safe enough to use around kids. In this case my 18 month old daughter. She hasn't learned to "Stay" yet.

1-Hand Press

Just like a miliary press except I chose to have my hand palming the side of the bag. Great move to work stabilizer muscles in hand and wrist.
